Frontier Days will kickoff at Gordon Lake with a parade at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 25, and following a day of fair type events the day will wrap-up with a street dance.
During a meeting to work with architects Thursday night, members of the Iowa Park school board were taken on a virtual tour of the district’s four campuses and plans and ideas for the work to be done on each of them. On display were samples of carpet, flooring, tile, paint and masonry for the trustees’ approval.
During their regular meeting Tuesday evening, board members of the Iowa Park Economic Development Corporation (4-A) voted to sponsor $10,000 toward Sheppard Air Force Base’s 2020 Freedom Fest.
Freshman Bella Dickens was named Co-Newcomer of the Year, and sophomore Kylie Flippin was named to the First Team as they led Iowa Park in selections to the 2019-20 6-4A All-District Basketball Team.
John Robinson, Ph.D., AgriLife Extension cotton marketing specialist, College Station, said cotton prices have been dropping due to the disease’s effects on global production, manufacturing and consumption.
