Iowa Park junior Brynyn Britt was named Co-Newcomer of the Year along with Vernon’s Julius Dawkins in voting by coaches for the 2021-22 5-4A All-District Basketball Team.
Twenty-one Iowa Park High School students will be traveling to Austin over the Labor Day weekend to participate in the UIL State Solo and Ensemble Contest, following Region 7 competition this past Saturday at Wichita Falls High School.
Iowa Park’s Lady Hawk softball team, currently ranked No. 2 in Class 4A, went 5-1 this past week at the San Marcos Tournament, losing 6-5 to No. 20 Salado, but earning five impressive wins over highly-regarded opponents.
Dealing once again with wintry weather, the Iowa Park Hawk baseball team managed three games in the Wimberely Tournament, going 2-1 with a loss to Fredericksburg, and wins over Burnet and St. Michaels.
