It only took one bad inning Thursday to spoil Iowa Park’s second consecutive stellar run to the UIL State Softball Tournament, as Liberty erased a 2-0 Lady Hawk lead with fiv runs in the third inning of their semifinal contest at McCombs Field in Austin.

In a drama-filled 1-4A Region Final series this past week, Iowa Park prevailed over Argyle two games to one in Bowie, earning the Lady Hawks a second straight trip to the UIL State Tournament in Austin.

The 10U Lady Hawks went undefeated and won the 10U Championship in the Burkburnett Softball League. Team members are (top row, LtoR) Colbie Miser, Emma Willis, Kambri Loudermilk, Rileigh, Emma Morton; (bottom row, LtoR) Avery Wuthrich, Kendyl Swenson, Addison Ricketts, Zoei Liggett, and Kambryn Chester. The Lady Hawks are all fourth graders at Bradford Elementary.
