Wichita County continued to see a drop in new COVID-19 cases the past week, as well as deaths, giving the area a break from rising numbers the past two months.

Lou Kreidler, Wichita County Health Director, said “I think we will continue to see a drop in cases - each wave of the pandemic has been about two months. I think we will see a dip and then another wave as the weather gets cooler, more people are inside and gather for the Holidays.”

FishFest 2021 will be held from 9 a.m. until noon Saturday, Oct. 9, at Gordon Lake.

At the tender age of seven-years-old Kathey Gray started writing songs and poems because she wanted to grow up and be a singer. So she planned to write her own songs and sing them.
