IOWA PARK FIRE DEPARTMENT HELD A 9-1-1 - 20th anniversary tribute walk Saturday morning at Lake Gordon. There were 13 firefighters, 10 from Iowa Park, two from Bowman, and one from Holiday, who participated. City denies water request for land outside city limits

Monday night the Iowa Park City Council heard a request from Luther and Tina Nichols for a water tap for residential and livestock use at 1817 Johnson Rd. The 19-acre property is located outside the city limits, but part of the southern property line is adjacent to the city limits. The Nichols said they have cattle on it and intend to build in two years.
