Lonnie and Tracy Stewart will launch the opening day of their Ministry Center, The Refuge, at 211 S. Yosemite, Sunday, Feb. 13, with services starting at 11 a.m.
Iowa Park Chamber of Commerce continues to accept names and addresses for the annual City Wide Trash to Treasure and Sidewalk Sale to be held Saturday, April 2.
After conducting interviews of applicants Monday in closed session, the Iowa Park City Council appointed Mike McCarty to fill the position of Public Works Director. The position will be vacated in March with the retirement of the current director David Sherrill.
Filing for places on the Iowa Park city council and school board races has been underway for a week. At press time both incumbents whose places are due to expire on the school board, Ken Cooper, Place 5 and Justin Hostas, Place 4, have filed for re-election.
