A thunder storm that rolled into Iowa Park in the early morning hours Wednesday left behind ice, not the type of moisture one would expect.

BURGER-CO is coming to town. The business put signs up Wednesday and plans to start hiring next week and hope to be open in a couple of weeks. The owner is Greg Cotter of Graham where he owns Burgers and Billiards. They will offer large burgers, catfish and large chicken bites and other items. Activity warmed up in the upcoming city council election as Taylor Kelley filed Friday to run against incumbent Ray Schultz for Mayor. Geral Frazier is challenging Jeffrey Pogatshnik for Place 2 on the council, and incumbent Lori Shierry is running upopposed for Place 4.
