Midwestern State University received $2.2 million in federal funding from the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021 (CRR-SAA), which provides direct aid to students in the form of grants to help ensure learning continues during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Iowa Park City Hall lobby opened back up to the public on Monday after being closed since September 3, 2020, due to concerns associated with Covid-19, and the local state of disaster due to public health emergency. However, despite the closure, all official operations continued to be performed during that period.
