Iowa Park’s Lady Hawk basketball team opened District 5-4A play on the road Tuesday with a big 44-39 win over Vernon.
The Lady Hawks (1-0) took a one-point 20-19 lead into intermission, and then outscored the Lady Lions (0-1) 24-20 in the final two frames for the win.
