Just read a recipe for “new turkey dressing” that was published in the early 80s. It called for 1/2 cup of uncooked popcorn, among other things.
The instructions said to “Mix well; stuff turkey. Cook 5 hours at 300-degrees or until popcorn blows the a*$ off the turkey.”
