Iowa Park’s Hawk basketball team earned a split this past week in District 5-4A action, defeating Mineral Wells Friday 61-49, and losing to ninth-ranked Hirschi Tuesday 73-39.
Friday’s 43-23 win by Iowa Park over Vernon combined with Burkburnett’s 59-41 win over Graham placed the Lady Hawks and Lady Blues in a two-way tie for the District 5-4A lead with identical 5-1 records.
