With the school year beginning in person for many districts across the state, the Texas Department of Public Safety is reminding the public of steps they can take to keep students and staff members safe. This includes slowing down in school zones, staying off cell phones and being aware at all times while around school buses.
The Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District is once again gearing up for the Back to School immunization rush. In addition to regularly scheduled clinic hours, the Immunization Clinic is offering extended clinic hours as follows: *Friday, Aug. 13 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. *Monday, Aug. 16 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. *The COVID Vaccine clinic is every Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A benefit is being held Friday, Aug. 20, at the Elks Lodge, 4205 Seymour Hwy, Wichita Falls, to help Robert and Stephanie Cummings with expenses due to COVID-19 complications.
