Each year the Hawk Band puts on a tremendous halftime marching performance during football season, but their own season begins with Summer Band, four weeks of music and marching drills to perfect that year’s program.

Calvin James Hauptman, 19, was taken into custody at 8:18 p.m. Sunday, during a traffic stop in the 1100 block of W. Louisa, on a Wichita County warrant for theft. He was transported to Wichita County jail.
