COVID-19 cases back on the rise in Wichita County

New COVID-19 cases are back on the upswing this week, jumping from 68 new cases for the week ending Nov. 19, to 91 cases as of last Friday.

CDC (4B) directors approve expense at youth baseball park

The board of directors for the Community Development Corporation met in a special session Tuesday and approved a request of $2,760.00 from the Iowa Park Youth Baseball and Softball Association (IPYBSA) to construct a 20X20X4 concrete slab for picnic tables.

EDC (4A) Board to meet Tuesday

The Iowa Park Economic Development (4A) Corporation EDC, will meet in regular session at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the city hall council chambers, 103 E. Cash St.

Vandals destroy Christmas lights

Vandals struck at Tom Burnett Memorial Library over the Thanksgiving holiday and destroyed many of the Christmas lights decorating the library grounds and the police would like your help in locating those responsible.

Iowa Park Historical Society working to expand

The Iowa Park Historical Society met November 11 for their regular monthly meeting. The regular meeting scheduled for the first Thursday was postponed due to two members being unable to attend.
