Shaylar Gene Banks

     Shaylar Gene Banks, 46, passed away Monday, June 27, 2022 in Iowa Park, Texas. Memorial services will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Pacific Avenue Baptist Church in Iowa Park, Texas with Pastor Shane Kirkpatrick officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park.

     Shaylar was born January 16, 1976 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Frank and Gwen (Yarbrough) Banks. He was a lifelong resident of Iowa Park where he attended Iowa Park High School. He was a Conductor for BNSF Railroad for 10 years. Shaylar enjoyed fishing, football, hockey, music, and hanging out with friends and family.

     Surviving relatives include his wife, Kristi Banks of Iowa Park; three children, Hailey Van Winkle and husband Jake of Wichita Falls, Texas; Nathan and Reese Banks, both of Iowa Park; grandson, Waylon Van Winkle; parents, Frank and Gwen Banks of Iowa Park; brother, Frank Banks and wife, Crystal of Los Alamos, New Mexico; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; his “B&R Thriftway Buddies,” BNSF brothers, and his childhood best friend, Trey Barnes of Iowa Park.
