Ruth “Janette” Christopher

Ruth “Janette” Christopher, formerly Sigafus, cherished mother and wife of 40 years, passed away at age 65, on Tuesday, June 29, 2021. Services will be held at 1PM on Saturday, July 10, at Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, TX.

Janette was born on October 21, 1955, in Waurika, OK. Janette married Russell Christopher in 1980 and they had two sons together.

Janette never met a stranger, and she loved to chat the day away with everyone. Her passion was reading, and she may be the reason many used bookstores stayed in business.

Janette is preceded in death by her husband, Russell; her parents, Delbert and Allene; and her brothers, James and Bill.

Janette is survived by her sons, Mark of San Diego and William and his wife Charity of Hurst; her sisters: Louise and her husband Lee of Iowa Park, Vici and her husband Bryan of Iowa Park, and Brenda and her husband Demetrio of Le Mars; her sister-in-law Patricia of Wichita Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews.
