Rey Mark Reyes
Rey Mark Reyes, age 51, resident of Burkburnett, Texas, passed away on January 25, 2022 at 5:35 p.m. in United Regional Hospital, in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Rey Mark Reyes was born November 25, 1970 in Tamuning, Guam, Marianas Islands to Ascension Reyes and Dolores Duenas Reyes. At an early age, he attended US Government public schools in the Panama Canal Zone while his father was assigned military duties with the US Navy. Later, he attended public schools in San Diego and then back again in the Panama Canal Zone. After his father’s retirement, his remaining primary education was completed in the Burkburnett ISD. After graduation, he attended Midwestern State University. He was employed by Stanly Tools in Wichita Falls until the company’s closure. Current employment was with Cryovac until his death.
He enjoyed fishing and being with his sons and grandchildren, all who he adored. Rey was a selfless father who dedicated his life to his children as well as his grandchildren.
He is survived by his father, Ascension Reyes and step-mother, Janie Reyes of Burkburnett, Texas; two sons, Austin Reyes and wife Alyssa, granddaughter Eliana of Fort Worth, Texas; and Kellen Reyes, granddaughter Avery, and grandson Abel of Wichita Falls, Texas; his sister, Mary Drennan and husband John of Plano, Texas; brother, Rodney Reyes of Burkburnett, Texas; one niece, Ashleigh Hernandez and husband John of The Colony, Texas; and one nephew, Carter Reynolds of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dolores Duenas Reyes.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Faith Village Church of Christ with Chris Swinford, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett.
