Peggy (Sissy) Lee Harbuck

Peggy (Sissy) Lee Harbuck , 56, passed away Friday, July 1, at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Bedford.

Memorial services will be held in the chapel of Dutton Funeral Home at 3 p.m. Monday, July 18.

Peggy was born Sept. 16, 1965 in Muncie, IN., to Ike Harbuck and Peggy Harbuck (Sossaman). She attended school in Iowa Park, graduating in 1982. She was an Army Veteran after being honorably discharged in 1988, afterwards she began studying law enforcement in which she became a deputy Sheriff in La Plata County, CO. She received many academic awards, certifications, and degrees in multiple colleges throughout her life while raising her three daughters. She dedicated 10 years of her life working retail at Walmart. She received certification to become a correctional officer where she served at the James V. Allred unit and Wynne Unit for many years. She enjoyed camping, fishing, reading, family get togethers, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her parents Ike and Cindy Harbuck of Driftwood, and Peggy and Gary Boomer of Iowa Park; three daughters, Taci Frantz of Ft. Worth, Kimberly Cervantes of Iowa Park, and Britni Billen of Geronimo, OK; ; a sister Barby (Jerrye) Hargrove of Wichita Falls, two brothers Casey Harbuck of Paris, and Michael Harbuck of Boerne; a sister, Melissa Harbuck of Driftwood, 14 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
