Myrtle Marie Martin

Myrtle Marie Martin, 89, of Iowa Park, passed away Sunday, April 4.

A rosary and vigil service was held followed by a family visitation Wednesday, at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls.

The funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 1 p.m. today at Christ the King Catholic Church in Iowa Park with Deacon Dave Poole, celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow at Highland Cemetery.

Myrtle was born on Nov. 20, 1931, in Wichita Falls, to the late Ruby Berryhill Hilbers and Michael Hilbers. She retired from Levi Strauss where she worked for numerous years. She was an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church. She enjoyed dancing and going to the Senior Zone and The Red Door.

Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Martin; her son, Larry Paul Martin; and nine brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her children, Mike Martin, Susan Coker, Cecilia Miser, and Benny Martin; her longtime companion, Roy Goodman; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
