Louis Stanley Sefcik, 85, died on Monday, January 6, 2020 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Memorial services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at First Baptist Church of Iowa Park with Pastor Josh Fields officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas. Louis was born March 22, 1934 in Wilbarger County, Texas. He graduated from Harrold High School and Kilgore College. He came to Iowa Park to open Louis Jewelry in 1956. He met his wife, Betty, in 1965 and they were married in 1967. Louis was a charter member of the Iowa Park Optimist Club where during his time of service, they formed the Red River Optimist Club and built the Everett Boulware Gymnasium for the youth of Iowa Park. Louis enjoyed spending his time as a fisherman. He loved his work as a jeweler and especially loved spending his time at the gym with the youth basketball program. Louis served as Lieutenant Governor North Texas District of Optimist International, and Distinguished President Iowa Park Optimist Club. He was also names Iowa Park Outstanding Citizen.
Louis is preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, and two sisters.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Betty; children, Audrey Kidd and husband, Tedd of Nashville, Tennessee; George Bushfield and wife, Lesa of Iowa Park; and Lydia Bushfield of Nashville, Tennessee; three granddaughters, Amanda McAllister of Wichita Falls; Alanah Bushfield of Ponte Vedra, Florida; and Courtney Seitz of Nashville, Tennessee; two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
