June Ann Lane
June Ann Lane, 74, of Iowa Park, Texas passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022.
She was born on October 21, 1947, to the late Thomas Allen Jr. and Gwenna Mae (Alexander) Doyle in Wichita Falls. She was a native of Iowa Park and graduated from Iowa Park High School in 1965. June married William E. “Bill” Lane on March 31, 1966. The couple spent over 50 years together.
June retired from the Children’s Aid Society of West Texas after 25 years of service. She also worked for many years at Dr. Carver’s dentist office in Iowa Park before working at the children’s home. June tended to the nursery at Park Place Christian Church for the last several years. In earlier years, she was a member of First Christian Church of Iowa Park where she tended nursery, pianist, Sunday school teacher, and worked vacation bible schools for many years.
June is survived by her children, Kristi Lane of Iowa Park, TX, and Brandon Lane and wife, Cara of Iowa Park, TX; her brother, Richard Doyle, and wife, Rebecca of Fort Worth, TX; grandchildren, Bethany and husband Spencer Soto of Iowa Park, TX; Brooklyn and Breeli Lane of Iowa Park, TX, and Joni Lane of Iowa Park, TX, and her dog, Peanut. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Barbara Lane of Marshall, AK; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Along with her husband and parents, June is preceded in death by her grandson, Jacob Colton Lane.
A viewing will be held between 12:30 and 1:15 p.m. prior to the service at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 29, 2022, at Park Place Christian Church, 4400 Callfield Rd in Wichita Falls with Rev. Alice Hupp, officiating. Interment will follow at Bellevue Cemetery under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Iowa Park Animal Reclaim Center in June’s name.
