John David Hopkins

John David Hopkins, age 78, of Iowa Park, Texas passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022.

John was born to Lois and Oma Hopkins on October 20, 1943, in Houston, TX. He graduated from Vernon High School in 1965. John married his wife, Jean Gilmore Burns, on September 22, 1977, in Iowa Park, TX. He was employed by WFISD in the grounds maintenance department for 23 years.

Survivors include his wife, son Jerry Burns, 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, sister, Jewell Abston Smith of Vernon, TX, sister, Penny Jones of Sherman, TX, sister, Barbara Grammer of Enid, OK, and brother, Emery Hopkins of Oklaunion, TX.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Lois Alton Hopkins of Denver City, TX, and Jesse W Hopkins of Victoria, TX.
