Joe Singer

Joe E Singer, 94, passed away Sunday, Feb. 2, in Wichita Falls.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening at Dutton Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with Dr. Darrell Monday and Pastor Glen Pearce officiating. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery.

Joe was born Aug. 15, 1925, in Floral Park, N.Y. He graduated from Texas Wesleyan University where he played basketball for the Racing Rams. He served in the Navy during World War II in the Philippines. He served on the Iowa Park City Council for 15 years, as well as on numerous committees, was a longtime member of the Lions Club, was involved in many community service projects, and was a long time member and Deacon Emeritus of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Wanda; daughter Teri Hammonds of Cleburne; and son, Tony Singer of St. Helena, CA.; and a granddaughter.
