Jerry Paul Smith
Jerry Paul Smith, 61, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral services will be at 10 am on Wednesday, September 1st, 2021 at Faith Baptist Church in Iowa Park with Bro. Dennis Neal officiating. Graveside services will follow at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park. Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 pm on Tuesday at Dutton Funeral Home.
Jerry Paul Smith was born on August 16th, 1960 in Torrance, California to Boyt Hall Smith Jr. & Mildred Elaine Moore. He graduated from Iowa Park High School in 1978. He worked as a driver for numerous companies over the years currently with Waste Connections. But his favorite job was that of dad and Papa to his children and grandchildren whether blood or bonus they were all the same to him. If you needed to find him he was more than likely at the softball field whether he was playing or watching. He was a proud member of the NADS slow pitch team for over 30 years. Jerry Paul will be remembered for his huge personality, big smile, and infectious laugh.
Jerry Paul is preceded in death by his parents. Surviving relatives include his children, Kaci Kennedy and her husband, Nick of Iowa Park; Kyle Stewart and his wife, Michelle of Wichita Falls; Kaitlyn Bohannon and her husband, Curtis of Shawnee, OK; Karli Smith and her fiancé, Jim Walker of Nocona; sisters, Teresa Fulfer and Troy of Wichita Falls; Donna Smith and Chuck of Vergas, Minnesota; Debra Harness of Tulare, California; brother, Chris Briscoe of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, Halli, Jaxon, Kruz, Blayke, Kinsler, Avery, J, JQ, Tatum and one on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.
