Jeffrey Dale Lunney

Jeffrey Dale Lunney, 59, of Iowa Park passed from this life on Sunday, March 29, 2021 in his home in Iowa Park. Memorial services will be held on Monday, April 5 at 1:00 p.m. at Dutton Funeral Home of Iowa Park. 

Jeff was born on January 17, 1962 in Fairborn Ohio. He was the first born child of Richard Dale Lunney and Carrolia Faye Lunney. He is a high school graduate of Iowa Park High School where he excelled in auto mechanics and auto body. At that time those were half-day programs that prepared you for future careers. 

Jeff was the proud owner operator of his own business, Bodine Transmissions of Burkburnett. He worked for Mr. Bodine from 1981 until 2006. Jeff then purchased the business from the Bodine family. 

Jeff was a person of many hobbies. These include horses, anything mechanical, working to build cars for racing and trying to save every stray animal he came across. He was always a kind hearted man who saw the best in everybody. 

He is survived by his sister Cindy Fulfer and her husband Brian of Iowa Park, his brother Mike Lunney of Abilene. Nephews Drew Fulfer and wife Sarah Elizabeth, Nick Fulfer and wife Sarah all of Iowa Park. Austin Lunney and wife Brenna of Temple. 

Grand nephews are Neziah, Zade, Braze, Grant and one special niece Sadie plus one more grand nephew on the way this summer. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association and the American Cancer Society.
