Jaye B. Bulkey
Jaye B Mulkey, 80, of Dean, passed away on Thursday Feb. 10.
Funeral services were held Monday, in the chapel at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. Burial followed at Hope Cemetery in Henrietta.
Jaye was born to Jonas and Oleane Mulkey in Albany, OK on Dec. 31, 1941. He attended schools in Alvord and Byers, graduating from Byers High School in 1960. He married Norma Rushing on Sept. 2, 1966, in Dean. He served in the National Guard four years and worked for over 40 years at Sheppard Air Force Base. He retired in 2012 as an egress specialist for DynCorp International. He was a member of Texoma Cowboy Church. He enjoyed being outdoors, camping, hunting, fishing, football and Nascar.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jonas and Oleane Mulkey; brother, Von Lee ‘Bud’ Mulkey; and sisters, Pamela Mulkey and Rae Koelle Ryker.
Survivors include his wife Norma (Rushing) Mulkey of Dean; two daughters, Shelli Starr of Iowa Park and Kenda Finn of Wichita Falls; sisters, LaHoma Springer of Bokchito, OK, Pat Gayle of Greenville, Kaye Otto of Denison, Ann Adair, Linda Graves, and GayNell Jackson all of Durant, OK, and Billye Ervin of Sherman; brother, Bobby Mulkey, of Durant, OK; and five grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital or a charity of their choice.
