James Coy Williams

James Coy Williams, Sr., 77, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 in Wichita Falls, Texas. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 22, 2022 in the pavilion at Highland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas.

James was born on January 28, 1944 in Wichita Falls, Texas to William Carol Williams and Ruth Whitton. He went to high school in Iowa Park, Texas and retired from John B. Barbour Trucking after many years of hard work. He married Carolyn Sue Neal on June 7, 1964 in Iowa Park. James loved to drag race and work in his shop on his cars and mechanics.

James is preceded in death by his father, William Williams and mother, Ruth Whitton; and one brother, Orien Ray Hamilton.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Sue; two sons, Norman Williams and wife, Lori of Granbury, Texas; James Coy Williams, Jr. of Iowa Park; two sisters, Carolyn West of Springtown, Texas and Bea Kennedy of Mineral Wells, Texas; grandchildren, Nolan Ryan Williams and wife, Anna of Thompson Station, Tennessee; Loran Winters and husband, Justin of Abilene, Texas; and Brittany Williams of Sherman, Texas; great grandchildren, Waylon Ace Winters, Penelope Anne Williams, Samuel Crawford Williams, Lincoln Oliver Earnhardt, Finn Henry Earnhardt, and Amelia Claire Earnhardt; and several nieces and nephews.
