Ila Ruth Medina

       Ila Ruth Medina, age 79, died of natural causes on November 9, 2021.

      She is survived by her two children, Susan Medina-Starr and husband Paul of Wichita Falls, TX.  Monte Medina and wife Nicole of Wellington, CO. Three grandchildren, Courtney Starr of Iowa Park, Garrett Starr and wife Miranda of Iowa Park and Alex Abeda of Wellington CO. And one great grandson Mason Fiscus of a Iowa Park.  Besides her children and grandchildren Ruth is survived by her sister Judy Atkinson of Sumter SC, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

      Ruth was preceded in death by her Parents, Lawton and Daisy McCaskill.  Siblings Retus, Fulton, Henrietta, David, Ann and June. Also her husband Vincent Medina.

      Ruth was born and raised in Lee County South Carolina. She spent her adult life living in Lugoff, SC and eventually moved back to Texas to be closer to her children and family.  She also traveled to Puerto Rico, Michigan, Alaska and Texas during her husband’s military career.

      Ruth will be laid to rest in the McCaskill family plot in Lucknow, SC next to her beloved mother Daisy.

      In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to go to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
