Harold Wayne “Jody” Walthers, 70, of Holliday, passed away Sunday, Oct. 17, in a Wichita Falls hospital. Memorial services were
Memorial services were held Wednesday at Texoma Cowboy Church with Mark Kunkel, pastor of First Baptist Church of Terral, OK., officiating. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.
Jody was born Nov. 11, 1950 in Osceola, Mississippi County, AR., to the late Dean and Alma Walthers. He and Wilma Fay Cullar were married March 1973 in Wichita Falls. She preceded him in death on Nov. 16, 2016. He was the owner and operator of H & W Upholstery for ten years and then worked for Howmet until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and his grandchildren.
Survivors include three daughters, Debbie Lain and Tammie Lain, both of Wichita Falls, and Frankie Powell of Iowa Park; four brothers, Jim Walthers, Kenneth Walthers, Ronnie Walthers and Donnie Walthers, all of Jumpertown, MS.; one sister, Gertie Newman of Jumpertown, MS.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Roy Dean Walthers.
