Clarence Edwin McClurg

Clarence Edwin McClurg, 86, passed away Monday, March 8, 2021 in Iowa Park, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at the Eastside Cemetery in Bridgeport, Texas with Mr. Jack Hayley officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas.

Clarence was born April 30, 1934 in Willow Point, Texas to Clarence Clifton and Maudena (Cannon) McClurg. He married Elizabeth Rogers on January 16, 1954 in Bridgeport. Clarence worked as a truck driver and later as a supervisor for Wichita Metal Products. He loved investing in the stock market and enjoyed traveling. Clarence was a very kind hearted man who will be missed.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving relatives include his wife of 67 years, Elizabeth McClurg of Iowa Park, Texas; son, Gerald McClurg and wife, Robin of Wichita Falls, Texas; son, Steve McClurg of New Boston, Texas; daughter, Jo Ann McClurg and partner, Cathy of Dallas, Texas; grandson, Jerry McClurg and wife, Dinah of Savannah, Texas; granddaughter, Sasha Christian and husband, Matthew of Gainesville, Texas; great grandchildren, William McClurg, Kiley Slaughter, Cadan Canon, and Parker Christian; and one sister, Linda Gardner and husband, Albert of Mabank, Texas.
