Christopher Earl Bennett’s earthly journey ended on August 1, 2020 at UT Southwestern Cardiology ICU in Dallas, TX.

A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of Dutton’s Funeral Home, Iowa Park on Saturday August 8, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. officiated by Scott Finch.

Christopher was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on March 3, 1990. He was the only son of Earl Bennett and Kristi Klinkerman. He was born with congenital heart disease and underwent his first heart surgery at 6 days old. Christopher had restrictions due to his heart disease but never complained when he couldn’t do what other boys do. Instead, he found things he was able to do. He became a lover of fishing, hunting, going with his dad e races and cooking on the smoker with Ryan and playing to the golf course, going to the races and cooking on the smoker with Ryan and playing video games. He enjoyed these things with his many friends of all ages.

Christopher primarily grew up in Iowa Park and was a graduate of Iowa Park High School in 2008. He attended Vernon College and attained his Certified Machinist Certificate. He enjoyed being able to work when his health allowed and he took pride in his accomplishments.

He was preceded in death by nephew, Carter McCloud October 2016, Grandpa, Dick Bennett April 2020 and MeMaw Carol Thompson July 2020.

He is survived by his dad, Earl Bennett, mom and step-dad, Kristi Klinkerman and Chad Coffman, only sister and her husband, Heather and Cameron McCloud, nephews Evan and Zeagon Bober and niece Harper McCloud, grandparents, PaPaw Gene and Nana Linda Klinkerman, Grandma Pat Bennett and step-grandpa Bobby Thompson, best-friends, Brandy Golden and Kayla, Ryan and Christal Gilmore.

Christopher was loved by all he met. His love for his family was apparent. He will be deeply missed by all who had the honor to know him.

Christopher always talked about winning the lottery and giving most of the money to Cook Children’s Hospital in Ft Worth, Texas. If it is your desire, memorials may be made in his honor to this hospital where doctors saved his life many times.
