Alan D. Eaves

Alan D. Eaves, age 74, passed away on November 17, 2020. He was born December 19, 1945, to Amos and Jessie Eaves. He married the love of his life JoAnne Carroll, August 12, 1966. Together they had three children, all of Iowa Park; Debra Payton, her husband Jamer, and their children Jacie and Dalton. Chris Eaves and his wife Stephanie and their children Britani Atteyah and Nathan Eaves. Shannon Fowler, her husband Wesley and their daughter Makenzie. They had two great-grandchildren Benjamin and Karter.

      Anyone that knew Alan very well, knew his love of drag racing. Alan loved to go fast, and had a wealth of knowledge about tuning and working on race cars. He was the owner of Alan’s Automotive in Iowa Park for numerous years. He later went to work for Iowa Park C.I.S.D as a school bus driver, where he was employed for 11 years. During those 11 years he proudly received school bus driver of the year award 4 times. He loved all of his bus kids very much.

     The family will be planning a private memorial for him at Wichita Raceway Park.
