Norma LaJune (June) Thornton George

Norma LaJune (June) Thornton George, at the age of 78, passed peacefully to be with her heavenly Father, June 11, 2022. She was born to Norman and Norma Bernice Thornton, October 15, 1943, in Pampa, TX. She survived by her two sons who made up the entirety of her world, Troy, and Terry.

Besides being a fierce loving mother and grandmother, she was an avid gardener, homemaker and enjoyed doing anything outdoors. She showed her love through cooking for her family especially her wonderful desserts that always included ice cream. June was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dennis George and sister Cynthia Tokarski and her beloved pet Penny.

She is survived by her sister Debra and Larry Johnston of Arizona, son Troy Linthicum and Teresa of Wichita Falls TX, son Terry Linthicum and Renee of The Colony TX, grandchildren Ty, Glenna, Trey Linthicum, bonus grandchildren Jeremy and Jami Fulfer, Malorie Hodges, great grandchildren Madi, Ashdyn, Ava, Piper, and Harper, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, beloved pet Robin and many friends.

A graveside service for Norma will be held Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Highland Cemetery, 826 Rogers Rd, Iowa Park, Texas 76367.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the wonderful people at Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Rd, Wichita Falls, TX 76310.
