Charles Monroe Brewer, 82, passed away Thursday, June 2.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, in Lunn’s Colonial Chapel with Pastor Doug Burton of Angels Care Hospice officiating.

Interment with Full

Military Honors followed the service in Crestview Cemetery.

Charles was born July 28, 1939, in Minden, LA., to Laura and Joseph Brewer, who preceded him in death. He married Karon Fouts in 1956 and joined the U.S. Navy the same year. He served for 21 years, retired in 1977 and returned to Wichita Falls. He was an active member of BPOE Elks 1105 where he served as exalted ruler for two years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Charles “Scuby” Brewer in 2018.

Survivors include his wife, Karon of 66 years; two daughters, Mitzi Veitenheimer of Windthorst and Monteil Sample of Wichita Falls; a brother, Mike Brewer of Iowa Park; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donates be made to Angels Care Hospice of Wichita Falls or BPOE Elks 110.
