James Vestal

     James Vestal, 90, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022 in Iowa Park, Texas. Graveside services will be at 1 PM on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at the Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park.

     James was born in Electra, Texas, in 1931, to Mr. and Mrs. William David Vestal. The family later moved to Petrolia, Texas where he graduated. He moved to Iowa Park, where he married the love of his life, Delores Langford, and they had one daughter, Elaine. The most devoted husband and father; he put family first in everything he did. He believed in working and kept working in the oil industry until he finally retired in 2015. He enjoyed fishing, participating in athletics, going to Hawk games, and being a Papa.

      James is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 64 years, Delores and daughter, Elaine and her husband Michael Pontician. Brother, Jack Vestal; Sister, Peggy Griffith; Brother-In-Laws, Opal Millard, Leon Langford, and Earl Bonner.

     He is survived by his sister, Bobbie Bonner and nephew, Joe Mark; nephew, Neal Langford and wife, Tiffany; sister-In-Law, Jeanette Millard; Grandchildren, Ashton Jones, Alyssa Trantum, and husband Aaron; Four great grandchildren, Alijah, Athen, Eli, and Aileen. One, treat loving dog, Roscoe.
