James Virgil Beals

James Virgil Beals, 64, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Visitation was held Monday, December 20, 2021 at First United Methodist Church of Iowa Park with funeral services at 11 AM with Pastor Jeff Pehl officiating. Private graveside services are scheduled for a later date at Highland Cemetery of Iowa Park. Services are under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home. 

James was born June 28, 1957 in Altus, Oklahoma to James Donald and Freda Marie (Holder) Beals. He graduated from Iowa Park High School in 1975 where he enjoyed agriculture and Acapella Choir. James worked as a truck driver for Men’s Warehouse for 10 years where he traveled the country as a driver and trainer. He then worked for NOV Corporation in Burkburnett, Texas as a machine operator and trainer. James was a quiet person who loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them whenever he could. 

James is preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Mary Ann Beals; and nephew, Greg Kasparek. 

Surviving relatives include his sister, Donna Smith and husband, Bob of Conroe, Texas; sister, Galyia Waters and husband, Bear of Iowa Park; brother, Daryl Beals and wife, Barbara of Iowa Park; nieces, Lana Hampton and Lori Gabbard; and nephews, Edward Smith, Blake Beals, and Ryan Beals; and great niece, Breanna Valazquez; and great-great niece, Isabella Valazquez.
