Betty “Jo” Broyles

Betty “Jo” Broyles, 87, of Iuka, MS, and formerly of Iowa Park passed away Sunday, Nov. 14, at NMMC-Iuka, MS.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at Ludlam Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, MS. Burial was held in Oak Grove Cemetery, Iuka, MS.

Betty was a member of New Salem Baptist Church, where she served twelve years as a WMU Director. She also was the volunteer coordinator of Helpful Samaritan Food Pantry, where she received the Green Bean Award.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Bill Broyles; four children, Elaine Abel, Mona Broyles, Becky Anglin and Brad Broyles; a sister, Peggy Hannah; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Thomas; and parents, Luther and Hattie Lindsey.
