Arttie Carl Miser
Arttie Carl Miser, 64, of Iowa Park passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, November 1, 2021 at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Faith Baptist Church in Iowa Park with Rev. Mike Rucker officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery.
Arttie was born on June 24, 1957 in Wichita Falls to the late Homer Lee and Mary Arlene (Fowler) Miser. Arttie, or AC, was a wheeler dealer, trading and selling cars all of his life, and had salvage yards. He married Allene Chandler on February 14, 1975 in Wichita Falls, and the couple were married for 46 years. He enjoyed camping, and fishing. Arttie “might have enjoyed an occasional trip every week to the casinos”. He loved his family, and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Arttie also loved to pick on everyone. More than once, someone might have heard “You like those free Dr. Peppers, don’t ya mooch!”
He was preceded in death by his father; step-father Dafford Gambill; brother Gary Miser; and grandchild Braylin Miser.
Arttie is survived by wife Allene; daughter Shannon Brown and husband Bryan; son Brandon Miser and wife Melissa; grandchildren Ashton Watson and husband Caleb, Brody Brown, Ryan Miser and partner Kelsi, Colby Brown, Brayden Miser, and Brynlee Miser; great-grandchildren Calen, Balen, Aycee, and Asher; mother Mary Gambill; sisters Lennie Fowler and husband Larry, and Judy Payton and husband James; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
