JoAnn Gould

JoAnn Gould, 87, of Wichita Falls, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 2, 2021 in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home with Chaplain Starkovich Forester, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls.

JoAnn was born on February 14, 1934 to Waymon Burns and Pauline Jordan Burns. She was a longtime resident of Iowa Park until she moved to Royal Estates and later to Arbor House Assisted Living in Wichita Falls. JoAnn was an amazing cook and made the best desserts, and was honored several times in the Iowa Park Leader as “Cook of the Week”. Known as MeMa to many, JoAnn loved family gatherings, collecting clowns, was an avid reader, but her true passion in life was her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Waymon and Pauline Burns; her husband, Argie Wayne Gould; four daughters; and eight brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her children, Patty McLemore and husband James, Keith Gould and wife Cheryll, Sandy Willingham and husband Randy, and Allen Gould and wife Julie; her brother and sisters, Robert Burns and wife Linda, Nell Migura and husband Danny, and Nancy Page; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
