     Lynn Barry Dozier passed into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, March 6, 2021 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

     Lynn was born November 6, 1952 to Kenneth Dozier and Doris (Dozier) Smith in Hot Springs Arkansas. Lynn married Kay Barnes on May 21, 1982 in the chapel of the Bethania Hospital in Wichita Falls, where his good friend, Lonnie Stewart, was a patient. Arrangements were made for him to come to the chapel to officiate the wedding.

     Lynn grew up in Iowa Park Tx and was a graduate of the class of 1971. He was well known for his God given talent of playing the trumpet and proudly played for the IPHS stage band, A cappella choir, the “Mean Green Marching Machine” as well as the Gospel band, “The Calvary Echoes” of the Cash Street Church of God. Lynn spent most of his adult life as a successful Realtor® and builder before he became an insurance adjuster in 1999. He and his wife, Kay, traveled all over the country helping people that had lost their homes in disasters, often spending many months away from their home in Slidell, La.

     Lynn was preceded in death by his dad, Kenneth H. Dozier, his brother, Aaron Lynn Smith, his grandson, Stephen Barnes, his nephews, Justin Denton, and Evan Taylor, as well as his brothers-in-law, Ervin Beisch and Teddy Ralston.

     Lynn is survived by his wife, Kay, three sons, Jason Dozier of Slidell LA, Bryan Barnes (Laura) of Holliday TX, and Steve Barnes of Pottsboro TX. He is also survived by a daughter, Jaime Pickett (Danny) of Fort Worth Tx. Lynn leaves behind 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Lynn will be deeply missed by his parents, Doris and Wally Smith of Iowa Park, sisters, Nelda Streich (Bill) of Holliday, Karen Ralston, Cindy Blair (Randy) of Iowa Park, Sherry Thomas (Rick) of Wichita Falls, and Renee Simpkins (Chris)of Mansfield TX, brothers, Michael Dozier (Julie) of Iowa Park, and Eric Smith (Misti) of Burkburnett, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

     A friend and family visitation will be held from 5-6 PM on Monday, March 15, 2021 at Lighthouse Church, 603 S. Red River Expressway in Burkburnett, TX., followed by a family memorial service at 6:00 PM. Close friends are welcome to stay for the memorial service. The family will be having a private family meal, immediately following. Pastors and lifelong friends, Lonnie, and Ronnie Stewart, will be officiating.
