Ronald L. Francis

Ronald L. Francis, 83, of Wichita Falls, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 17.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls.

A son of the late Wiley Clarence Francis and Arma Venia (Likely) Francis, Ronald was born on May 13, 1937 in Wilbarger County. He graduated from Vernon High School in 1959 and went on to serve in the United States Army for several years. He and Alice Marjorie Blake were marred in 1982. He worked many years as a Wrecker Driver and was a collector of cars and coins.

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Alice Francis in 2001.

Survivors include his sisters, Carolyn Jares of Iowa Park, and Marilyn Chumley of San Marcos; his step-son, Spud Patterson of Wichita Falls; step-daughter, Sandra Austin of Las Vegas; three grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
