Mona Ruth Henderson

     Mona Ruth Henderson, 84, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral services will be at 2 PM on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at First Christian Church of Iowa Park with Rev. Landon Winstead and Rev. Gary House officiating. Graveside services will follow at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at the funeral home.

     Mona was born on December 19, 1936 in Grandfield, Oklahoma to C.L. “Pete” Morris and Ruth (Hill) Morris. She attended school in Iowa Park. Mona married Sammy Henderson on March 21, 1959 in Iowa Park. She was a homemaker and bookkeeper for Henderson Drilling and Oil Company.

     Mona was a long-time member of First Christian Church of Iowa Park, serving on several committees and teaching Sunday School classes. She most of all enjoyed entertaining and spending time with her family and friends.

     Mona was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Alan Morris.

     Surviving relatives include her husband, Sammy Henderson; daughters, Charmagne Kingcade and husband, Tim; Shawnee Raines and husband, Joe; all of Iowa Park; grandchildren, Ginger Hodges, Stormi Arnold, Sam Raines, Callie Cole, Tom Kingcade and Amanda Myers; and 11 great grandchildren.
