Commodity distribution dates change for holidays
The Iowa Park Food Pantry reminds citizens who receive commodities that distribution will be from 4 to 5 p.m. today, at the First United Methodist Church, 201 East Bank Street.
Normal distribution is the fourth Thursday of the month. For Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays shift the distribution dates to the third Thursday of the month also.
The Iowa Park Food Pantry will continue its “contactless” method of providing food commodities. Participants should arrive to the church no earlier than 3:30 pm to checkin on the Bank Street side of the church. After checking in, they will proceed to the back side of the church on Park Street to receive their items.
To refer someone to the Food Pantry, or learn about eligibility, contact the First United Methodist Church (940-592- 4116) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
Monetary and food donations are always appreciated by the Food Pantry. Food items should be unexpired canned items. If you make a monetary donation, checks should be made payable to the Iowa Park Ministerial Alliance.
Food and monetary donations can be taken to the Park Street entrance of the Methodist Church.
