Eladio Martinez, 45, was taken into custody for assault family violence at 10:40 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 25.
According to the probable cause affidavit, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of East Lafayette in reference to an assault. The victim stated Martinez slapped her with an open hand on the face.
