Animal reclaim center now closed, services continue

While Iowa Park Animal Control will continue normal services, the animal reclaim center will be closed to the general public until COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted for Wichita County, according to Iowa Park Animal Control Officer Christine Dison.

However, impounded animals can be reclaimed by a single member of their family.

Also, owner surrenders are now by appointment only and may result in the immediate euthanasia of your pet.

Dison said adoptions are by appointment only. Animal control can do screenings and applications over the phone for the cat or dog you are interested in. Once approved, an in-person visit and pick-up will be scheduled.

Donations for the center can be left at the Iowa Park Police Department or on the front porch of the Reclaim Center.

At this time they do not need blankets or stuffed animals.
