Six people were transported to a Wichita Falls hospital after a two-vehicle accident just after 9:30 a.m. Sunday on US 287.
According to the accident report, a 2014 Dodge flatbed pickup was traveling north in the 1400 block of North Third when the driver, Bobby Stanley, 49, apparently lost control, possibly due to a medical condition, and entered the yard of the residence at Manes and Third Streets.
The pickup continued through the side yard, went through a wood privacy fence through the back yard, exiting through the back fence, then struck a box trailer that was pushed into a shop. The pickup then crossed the service road and entered US 287 striking a 2011 GMC Yukon, driven by Christopher Kauffmann, 38.
The Yukon reportedly rolled several times, coming to rest on it’s top on the north side of the median between the north and south bound lanes.
First responders used the jaws of life to extract the passenger, 37-year-old Angelica Kauffman.
The couple’s three children ages 16 years-old, four years-old and three months-old were in the back seat of the vehicle.
The 16 year-old reportedly was able to free herself and unbuckle her siblings from their car seats and take them to safety.
The driver of the pickup was reportedly flown by AirEvac and the family was transported by ambulance.
The family was reportedly released from the hospital later that day.
