A big weekend for Iowa Park
with IPHS Homecoming 2016

Three days of homecoming activities will start with a pep rally and bonfire this evening followed by a parade Friday afternoon and the football game that evening.
Saturday’s activities will start with Friendly Door Senior Citizen’s Center holding their annual Homecoming Pancake Feed.
At 9 a.m. the annual Chamber of Commerce Whoop-T-Do kicks-off.

Pep Rally
The pep rally will be held at 8:30 p.m. today in the “new” gym immediately followed by a bonfire on the west side of the high school.

Parade
The IPHS Homecoming Parade will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in downtown Iowa Park.
The parade will travel from the 300 block of East Cash, west on West Cash, north on Yosemite, one block, east on West Park and west on West Park, then north to Bank Street, back east to the starting point.
Those participating in the parade should be in place by 2:45 p.m.
The theme for this year’s parade is “Circus.”

Homecoming Game

The game between the Iowa Park Hawks and Childress Bob Cats kicks off at 7:30 p.m.

Pancake Feed
Friendly Door’s Homecoming Pancake Feed will get an early start Saturday from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the center 810 N. Third.
The menu will include pancakes, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, with orange juice and coffee. Cost is $10.

Whoop-T-Do
 Iowa Park Chamber of Commerce is still seeking all types of vendors for the annual Homecoming Whoop-T-Do.

Registration for the turtle trot will start at 9 a.m. and the race will start at 9:30 a.m.

Homecoming Luncheon
IPHS Homecoming’s annual all classes luncheon will be held at the high school cafeteria beginning at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
The price will be $20 at the door.
Children will be $7 for ages 10 and under.
Rafter J’s will be serving ham, brisket and all the trimmings along with tea or water.

During the luncheon door prizes will be given and the alumni ladies can register for the drawing of the Coming Home Queen for 2016.
