City council schedules joint meetings

The Iowa Park City Council will participate in two joint meetings next week.
On Monday, the council will meet at 6 p.m. at Tom Burnett Memorial Library with members of the Planning and Zoning Commission, and the Board of Adjustment for a workshop.
The oath of office will be administered to members of Planning and Zoning, Board of Adjustment, City Attorney, and Code Enforcement Officer.
There will be a discussion of the duties and responsibilities as well as annexation issues, zoning issues, and special exemptions and variances.
On Tuesday the council will meet with members of the Economic Development (4A) and Community Development (4B) Corporations at 6 p.m. at the library.
Members of the two corporations not previously sworn in will be given the oath of office.
An election of officers will be held for the 4A Corporation president and vice president, and the 4B Corporation president and vice president.
They will discuss primary jobs, NAICS categories, approved projects and exceptions. Infrastructure projects and promotional purposes will also be discussed.
