Annual IPHS plant sale, rabies clinic here

The annual Iowa Park High School Plant Sale and Rabies Clinic is set for tomorrow and Saturday at the IPHS Ag Building.

The Plant Sale will be held both days.

According to Ag Science teacher Misty Eppler, this year’s sale will include a wider variety, as abundant rains this past year have created a renewed interest following a lengthy drought.

“I know this early spring weather is giving everyone the ‘bug’ to start planting early. We have some really neat new plants, and a good overall assortment. We also have some blooming hanging baskets that are looking pretty cute.”

Eppler added that IPHS students have also planted some tomatoes, jalapeno peppers, bell peppers, cilantro, basil, dill, okra, squash, and corn.

The annual Rabies Clinic will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12-noon. Local veterinarian Brent Patterson will offer rabies vaccinations for $10, with all other shots available at $20 each.
